Angela Georgette is an artist and art educator based in Hawaiʻi. Angela's work deals with interdisciplinary relationships with painting and poetry. She holds a BFA in Painting and a BA in Art Education from Colorado State University, where she also minored in English.
Angela’s work has been exhibited nationally in juried shows across the U.S. and recognized internationally, earning the Juror’s Choice Award in the Soul of Artists International 2D Exhibition. Her writing and artwork have also been featured in publications such as Scene Magazine, The Greyrock Review, and The Journal of Undergraduate Research. As an educator, Angela teaches secondary art at a small, rural Title I K-12 school, where she develops and implements curriculum across various art media. Passionate about fostering creativity, she engages her students in both contemporary and traditional art practices. She was recently awarded the Cooke Foundation Beautification Award for her contributions to community mural projects, recognizing her efforts in integrating public art with local engagement and education. Her studio practice continues to evolve, and she remains dedicated to both exhibiting and educating in the visual arts. |
