Orphan Lines

 ​This series of poem sized paintings explores creating a purpose for abandoned lines of poetry. These orphan lines hold some quality that draws me to them over and over. Their challenge is in their singularity. These lines have been abandoned by the poems they were written for. Through revisions these lines were outgrown, cast aside to fully realize the development of their poem's final form. This series intends to rehabilitate these abandoned lines by immersing them within their visual counterpart interpreted through these painting.
