Nature and its elements are both gentle and violent, fantastic and fleeting. Within all of the words and images set to attain their presence, there remains something uncaptured. I am interested in exploring this through paintings and poems that are created simultaneously. This collaboration of my painting and poetry practices aims to further embody the familiar and fantastic of our natural world through the conversation between the painting and poetry, as they inform each other. Through this process both medias become one piece, each counterpart inextricably linked.
